Happy Holidays!

I can’t believe Christmas is only two weeks away! This year has flown by so fast and now it’s time for my favorite season of all…. I LOVE CHRISTMAS, and so does Kyle.

The last couple of months we have been enjoying some much needed down time. Our family has been able to spend some great time just relaxing, hanging out with friends and Kyle’s favorite – board games! Thanksgiving was lots of fun as it is every year. We always have a friendly game of flag football with friends before stuffing ourselves with way too much food. This year we have about 25 join in our annual game. The kids always have a blast look forward to the game every year. Kyle had a few great breakaways and rushed the quarterback quite a few times. I am not sure what the score ended up being but I do know everyone had trouble walking for a few days afterwards due to the soreness that set in! HA

Kyle almost had him!

Kyle with a break away :)

I just love this picture!

Kyle got him that time!!

The Gang…

Even little Logan was able to come out! Logan was diagnosed with RB at 4 months, he has currently completed chemotherapy and continues to be rechecked often. We love little Logan!!

Hanging out at the end of the day. (so tired!)

Kyle had taken a long break from golf the past couple months. I always wondered if he would get burnt out golf and I think he did! Jeff and I supported him with his decision to take a break from the game and I think we both knew it wouldn’t last long. After not swinging a golf club or touching a golf club in over two months he couldn’t stay away. Just this past Thursday night while putting him to bed he said “Mom, I miss golfing”. I answered by saying “Maybe Daddy can take you this weekend.” With a big smile on his face, he kissed my cheek and said “Goodnight mommy, I love you.”. As soon as Daddy got home on Friday, that was the first thing Kyle asked. I am not sure who was more excited to go Jeff or Kyle! I think Daddy misses that time on the course just a much as Kyle does.

So on Saturday morning they were off to Pauma Valley to spend what ended up being 7 hours of golf! Kyle had a great day and loved seeing all of his Pauma Valley friends that missed him just as much. Kyle said he gave lots of hugs that day :) He also was excited to work on his game and said he played very well.

Well now Kyle is focused on Christmas! He was so excited to decorate the house with lights and decorate the tree with his sisters. he keeps telling us that all he wants for Christmas is a cell phone. I am still struggling with why 9 year olds need cell phones when I didn’t get mine until I was 28 but I guess it is a sign of the times. He tells me all the time that I am the ONLY mom that won’t let their child have a phone…”all of my friends have one!” Geez! He is really trying hard, he tells me that if I get him phone he will give me a shoulder massage every day…Hey, I may take him up on that! HA

The Lograsso Family would like to wish you all Happy Holidays. Please keep all of our fellow troops stationed overseas that are without family in your prayers! Thank you for checking in and reading our blog, we appreciate the support and emails of encouragement that Kyle and our family receives every day.

God Bless! xoxo
